Need help organizing my companies mailing list in Excel?

If the names are in column A under a dept heading, copy the dept into Column B at the side of their names. Do that for each dept, then select columns A & B, then Data / Sort select 'No Headers' and then sort by column A. This will put all your names in alphabetical order with their dept at the side of the name.
