Does he like me???????????????

okk so i like this guy from camp he is a little older and we were a thing at camp and we were really close...i left camp four weeks in because I was only staying for one session....we werent techinacally going out but we werre anywayz ..i left camp and I was writing 2 my best camp friend still billy and I told her that i might get back together with this guy at home but i wasnt really serious and she umed we were going out by the time she got the letter and her boyfriend had just dumped her badly and so she hooked up with the guy i liked...my friend told him i had a boy friend which i dont so he got mad at me and hooked up with her... I talked to him after camp and he said he still likes me but he wants us to be able to hook up with other people.. does he like me? should I be mad at my friend even though it was a misunderstanding? help
