High blood pressure in Pregnancy?

I can't imagine why a doctor would let you leave the office with a b/p of 157/106 without having you stay for stress testing. Pre Eclampsia can develop from high b/p very quickly..as far as it settling towards the end, I am 35 weeks now and still have to be medicated for my b/p. I'm sure everyone is different though, just make sure your doctor is taking it very seriously.
