Where is the US economy heading...?

I think we should keep a lid on any hysteria regarding depression etc. The US economy is certainly experiencing negative growth, due to the recession. However the US economy is extremely robust, meaning that it has a tendancy to bounce back bigger and stronger in a short period of time. I don't expect to see this recession lasting for years. As the industrial might of the US starts to crank up to full speed again, so too will profits.
